3582 podcast adverts later and here I am creating a Squarespace website. This is what I get for not supporting my favourite creators through Patreon to get an ad-free stream. Next, I'll be using this blog to talk about how much I love Blue Apron while listening to Audible... or not, Blue Apron looks pricey, and the company is going through a bit of a rocky patch.
This site offers a way for me to merge my procrastination with my interest in citizen journalism all while working with a couple collaborators. Naturally, as we are just starting out things are looking a little sparse and low-tech. Sorry about that. If you have suggestions or complaints feel free to pass them my way.
Along with the website, I am hoping to launch a podcast - I'm not sure when that will be though. First I need to work out if it'll viable. One thing I have noticed is that Squarespace does allow its users to upload audio directly onto the site. If I can work out how that works then we can make a combination of audio and text posts which might look pretty cool if it's executed well.
The topics we aim to cover with this blog are wide-ranging - which is probably a bad sign. It'll leave people guessing about what's coming up next, and not in a good way. However, as of now, that's the easiest way to do things. As we write more, certain topics will garner more interest and as a result, we'll focus more on them. It will be a process of collaboration between readers and us writers.
With that out the way, we'll leave you for now so I can get some much-needed sleep. Thank you for reading this and have a great day.
